The COVID-19 is impacting all our daily lives especially the arts, dance and the entertainment industries. Our priority is to remain safe and healthy (physically and mentally), while optimistic and positive about the near future. Dance and the arts are our loves, our lives & we must continue to nurture our gifts and talents, especially during these times.
We experienced the SARS coronavirus 17 years ago in Toronto. It took a toll on the entertainment industry and the economy. We must continue to support the arts and small businesses and plan to carry on with normalcy as best we can. We are survivors.
Be Discovered is closely monitoring the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control and other reputable organizations for information and updates on the Coronavirus. Currently, we are committed to organizing all events as scheduled.
Many of our dancers worldwide are impacted and we are aware of the time necessary to plan, purchase travel and secure accommodations. By mid April, we will have more updates about our summer intensives. We will lend all the support possible to assist dancers as needed who are planning to join us.
We encourage you to stay positive and strong, especially for all our young dancers who are especially affected at this time with all the cancellations and changes. We hope to be able to make it all up to them this summer and later in the year.
We are in regular communication with our production partners and venues to ensure that everything will be exciting and safe for everyone. As always, our priority is the safety and health of the dancers, families and staff.
