Long before Diana was creating opportunities for other performers, she dreamed of performing herself.

Born in Colombia and moving to Canada without speaking English, Diana knows what it feels like to be the outsider. She dreamed of dancing at the Brian Foley Dance Complex but did not have the funds for the training she wanted.

She also experienced bullying and learned early what it meant to feel different, find her confidence and create her own path. At 17, that determination led her to begin working at a talent agency to learn the entertainment business.

What started with dreams of performing ultimately revealed her greatest strength — an eye for talent and a passion for helping others move forward. Years later, one of those early dreams came full circle when Diana began awarding full Be Discovered program scholarships through CanDance, a competition connected to the same dance family behind the studio she once wanted to attend.

Those experiences continue to shape Diana’s work today — creating opportunities, opening doors and encouraging others to recognize their strengths, believe in what is possible and define success on their own terms.
